Overview
This role focuses on enhancing and ensuring the quality of our client solutions and services by collaborating with the business to validate that the software under test meets predetermined acceptance criteria. The responsibilities encompass designing, writing, and executing manual tests in a complex integrated environment to assess product readiness for release, while also contributing to QA engineering and testing best practices. The Data Quality Engineer role emphasizes proficiency in Hadoop, strong SQL skills, and expertise in ETL testing.

Responsibilities
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to comprehend product requirements and devise comprehensive test plans, scenarios, and cases.
– Investigate and report defects, track issues, and collaborate closely with developers for timely resolutions.
– Identify and prioritize tests that can be automated to enhance efficiency in collaboration with product stakeholders.
– Support Production deployments and perform critical manual and smoke testing.
– Design and execute ETL test cases to validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes, ensuring data integrity and quality throughout the ETL pipeline.
– Utilize strong SQL skills to craft complex queries for data validation, analysis, and troubleshooting, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across databases and sources.
– Perform detailed functional testing to validate software functionality, identify defects, and ensure compliance with specifications, particularly in Hadoop environments focusing on data quality.
– Demonstrate self-motivation, and discipline in meeting deadlines with speed, accuracy, and a professional attitude.
– Possess excellent written and oral communication skills, analytical prowess, troubleshooting capabilities, and a collaborative team-player mindset.
– Ability to resolve conflicts constructively, navigate obstacles, and ensure project success.
– Requiring attendance on-site three times per month.

Must Have
– Extensive expertise in SQL for data manipulation and validation.
– Experience in database testing using Hadoop or any relational database management system (RDBMS).
– Proven track record in ETL testing to guarantee data integrity and quality across data pipelines.
– Familiarity with Agile Methodologies and/or Waterfall methodologies.
– Proficiency in Test Management tools such as QTest, and HP ALM suite.
– Experience working with Jira and Confluence.

Qualifications
– More than 5 years of experience in data analysis environments.
– Understanding of software testing practices and agile development.
– Ability to work independently with minimal direction, exhibiting a strong work ethic.
