Supervisor- Quality Systems (Documentation Center)

AbbVie seeks a Supervisor for Quality Systems to oversee the Document Control Department in Costa Rica. This role ensures compliance with quality and regulatory requirements through management of controlled documentation, change control systems, and continuous process improvement across medical product operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Document Control Department activities with consistent execution of assigned processes
• Manage controlled documentation custody, filing, distribution, and change control board administration
• Monitor departmental metrics and identify continuous improvement opportunities
• Coordinate internal and external audit preparation and timely closure of findings and CAPAs
• Define and control budget for areas under position responsibility

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in STEAM field, preferably Industrial Engineering or Business Administration
• 3+ years quality systems, compliance, and change control experience in regulated industry
• Advanced English proficiency (C1 level or higher preferred)
• Experience with electronic documentation systems (SAP, OneVault, Salesforce, Arena, Windchill, or similar)
• Knowledge of change control and medical device documentation processes
• Project management, audit, or process improvement experience
• Strong supervisory, analytical, and cross-functional collaboration skills
