The Position
The Opportunity
The Government Programs (GP) team in Channel and Contract Management (CCM) manages government pricing complexities to ensure patient access through federal drug programs (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, 340B). This includes accurate pricing reporting, government rebate payments, and strategic value provision to managed care partners. The Governmental Programs Analyst oversees state and supplemental Medicaid Rebates, ensuring compliance with accuracy targets, laws, regulations, and GP methodology. This role also involves leading cross-functional teams, assessing solutions, and communicating with stakeholders and management.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the end-to-end Medicaid Rebates process and applicable administration activities for all assigned state government contracts and programs. Act as lead subject matter expert for others
Develop and implement standard department reports, scorecards, metrics, customer business reviews, compliance and other ad hoc reporting
Identify and communicate impacts to Medicaid rebate pricing and other related programs and share specific analysis where interdependencies between calculations and claims exist
Participate in cross-functional activities related to execution of the 340B pricing program and other revenue leakage initiatives
Contribute and support special projects as assigned by project leads
Collaborate with Finance and other functions to track and reconcile customer rebates to ensure adequacy of financial reserves, data integrity issues are resolved and penalties are avoided
Who you are
Bachelor's Degree in areas related to General Business, Finance, Data Processing or Public Policy disciplines is preferred and a minimum of 2-3 years work experience in healthcare billing or related analytics
Strong knowledge of systems and reporting mechanisms that support contract administration particular to the pharmaceutical/biotechnology or related industry
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
Demonstrable decision making and communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in a team structure, as well as ability to problem solve and troubleshoot issues by self with minimum guidance
Able to work and collaborate with development, IT and project managers during minor to major projects
Data management and critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze information to properly communicate relevant data to both internal and external stakeholders
Strong ability to organize , manipulate large volumes of data in various formats, attention to detail and high degree of accuracy in data processing and reviews.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Business Objects (BO), Salesforce and the current policies and guidelines that affect government programs, pricing and payment adjustments (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid) is a plus
Project Management Professional certification is a plus.
