Quality Engineering Intern

PURPOSE OF PROGRAM

Supporting quality assurance practices and provide Quality Engineering support to manufacturing or new product development teams, helping to ensure delivery of highest quality product or new products to the customer. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide manufacturing on-the-line Quality support.
• Support the investigation of non-conformities, customer complaints, and other quality-related issues, working towards effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Compile quality data and utilize statistical analysis tools to assess product and process performance.
• Participate in product containment activities and non-conforming material disposition, assisting in identification of primary root causes, and understanding corrective and preventative actions. 
• Understanding of product quality plans, documents, and systems by reviewing product specifications and quality specifications. 
• Participate in the design, development and testing of new and existing products and equipment. 
• Evaluates new equipment, processes, and participates in the transfer of new products.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, procedures, and protocols.
• Provide support on improvement projects and provide technical input and assistance in activities such as Quality planning, Risk analysis and FMEAs. 
• Generate, edit, and maintain Quality documentation, including but not limited to, departmental documents, procedures, work instructions, templates, and training materials including change orders.
• Provide technical support to other team members in statistical analysis techniques, experimental design, data analysis, sampling techniques and other QA engineering areas.

REQUIREMENTS

• Current university student majoring in Industrial, Chemical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• At least 80% of the career approved (Bachelor´s or Licentiate degree).
• B1 English Level or above

POSITION SKILLS

• ​​​​​​ Ability in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Advanced preferred
• Ability to effectively present information to management and public groups.
• Must be organized and detail oriented.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis tools, Minitab or any equivalent statistical tool is preferred.
